
The leadership of the UAE and Ukraine held an extended meeting in Abu Dhabi dedicated to research on the best practices of the Comprehensive Agreement on Economic Partnership between the two countries. The meeting gathered ministers and business leaders from both countries to discuss the development of trade-economic partnerships.
The event focused on the establishment of business and investment partnerships between business community representatives from both countries within the framework of the partnership agreement. The sides exchanged views on mechanisms to improve bilateral relations and the expected contribution of the agreement to support the Ukrainian economy after overcoming the current crisis.
During the meeting with the Emirates, senior officials of Ukraine participated, including the Minister of Agriculture and the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy. The event also featured representatives of large Emirati companies from different sectors, as well as representatives from banks and investment groups.
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral trade relations and investments between the countries. According to projections, it could bring significant economic impact and contribute to the recovery of the Ukrainian economy. It is expected that by 2031, the agreements will increase the UAE's gross domestic product by around $369 million and by $874 million for Ukraine.
The sides also plan to collaborate in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, aviation, and information technologies, which will facilitate the acceleration of economic development in Ukraine. It is essential that initiatives are initiated to develop partnerships in various fields, such as healthcare, innovation, and industrial production, creating new opportunities for cooperation.
Both sides expressed readiness to continue improving trade and investment relations, which will help achieve growth in both countries. The perspectives for cooperation in various sectors, such as logistics, transport, and agriculture, have been established, and issues of privatization of state-owned Ukrainian companies have also been discussed.
